Bite Me!
Baby Burgers
Alright, I’m about to get real! Sometimes this job sucks… like when the groom’s little brother gets so drunk he pukes all over the candy bar (cause that type of thing doesn’t clean itself up, if you know what I mean). And then sometimes this job is heavenly and full of perks I couldn’t even have imagined in my younger years. Like last week, when we were treated to a tasting by Bite Catering and the beautiful stylings of Chef Elizabeth Goel. Holy crap, Chic readers, it was life-changing! Let me just throw a few tidbits your way to get you in the mood: Dates stuffed with Spanish manchego and wrapped in bacon, lobster bisque soup shots served with crème sherry and a miniature Maine lobster roll, mac n’ cheese in a crisp parmesan cup with buttered panko and chives! Sweet Rapture!!
Bites concept is just that: cuisine served in bite size miniatures, each one an exquisite work of art both visually and flavorfully (did I just make up a word?). Regardless, it was an absolute treat and a reminder of why we put up with pukey wedding guests. Because before that wedding, there was a tasting, and at that tasting someone served us cheese stuffed in fruit wrapped in bacon!
