Bottle Cap Drink Charms

To Cap It Off

I challenged our new Chic Life staffer Emily to come up with some creative ideas for Memorial Day entertaining and she really set quite a bar for herself with these bottle cap drink charms! A little elbow grease (and some spray paint) turned some old bottle caps into a cute way to adorn your drinks at your next party. We went with red, white and blue but you could really paint them any color, or add numbers, or letters depending on how many drinks you’ll need to tell apart.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Tip Your Cap

- Hammer

- Nail (or a large screw in our case)

- Bottle Caps

- Spray Paint

- Kitchen Twine

Red White and Blue

... we prefer Dos Equis

Turn your bottle cap label side down and use your nail and hammer to pound a little hole into the metal

Make Way

Now use your spray paint to cover each one (we did two coats, allowing the first to dry in between)

Paint the Roses Red

I've Got the Blues

Now string the bottle cap with twine and tie around each glass waiting for guests to help themselves.

Ready to Celebrate

We served our Americana Punch (we’ll post the recipe tomorrow) in this old mason jars with our bottle cap ties. We paired them with adorable straws from Sweet Lulu from their Yankee Doodle Dandy Collection which are a STEAL at $5 a pack!
