A Noah's Wish Reunion

Okay let me give you a scenario… There is an earthquake (tornado or flood depending on where you live in America) and the authorities knock on your door to for a mandatory evacuation. You have 5 minutes to grab a few items? Well guess what? Your beloved pets can’t always go. Can you imagine looking into your pets eyes and leaving them behind only hoping that they make it? Devastating… I know. HOWEVER, I recently found an organization that deals with this exact scenario among countless other rescue efforts due to natural disasters. They are called Noah’s Wish and they have been around since 2002 aiding in almost every natural disaster this country has seen since then. Their trained volunteers and staff swoop in and rescue your pets who have been left behind or lost. Whether it be your dog or cat, or your farm animals, which in this case can also be your families source of income, Noah’s Wish foundation understands that it’s not just a human life that natural disasters impact, It’s all living things…. As a dog owner and animal rights advocate I support this cause because it’s not just chic… Its Humane! Please take a moment to recognize the efforts this foundation puts forward to help everyday people like us keep our WHOLE families together on a strictly volunteer and personally funded resources! The lovely Chic assistants found this cutie wondering the streets yesterday and took a picture for your viewing pleasure.

The ruffled dress is too cute, especially when paired with this metal belt (totally reminds me of the early 90’s when my mom went through that whole Santa Fe faze). 

Also we just adore anyone who pulls off the Annie Hall hat, and the layered necklaces… plus, the scarf tied around the strap of her hand bag makes her a girl after my own heart!

Vest-abule

Would you look at this ginger we found roaming the streets of LA? 

That vest is vintage, leathery goodness… so are the sunnies for that matter. She was just super cool and confident in this outfit and therefore garners a shout out.

Want to pull off something similar? I’d LOVE to pair this old western looking leather vest with a billowy white dress shirt or maybe no shirt at all, just buttoned with a black pencil skirt and some killer pumps. A little too risque you say? Partner, that’s how the West was won!

Here’s another real live chic outfit! I love this cool, easy, breezy summer style!

Oversized top, silky skirt and a great pair of gladiator sandals… super cute hair swept back with a thin gold strappy head band. It’s sweet, a little flirty, and a great way to keep cool when downtown temps hit the 90’s!

Check out this Rocker-Chic Chick! I love her absolute unabashed style!!

While it might not be something you’d usually pick out for yourself, you have to give it to her… it takes total self-confidence to pull this off and she’s got it in spades.

Too terrified to bust out your combat boots and your skinny jeans?? A black studded belt over a bright floral summer dress would be adorable and not too terrifying for your mother in law’s garden party this weekend!

Lovely Ladies

Would you look at these lovely ladies! We spied them somewhere along 8th street and were drawn over by the site of someone daring to wear thigh high stockings with mid-calf boots. Not everyone could pull this off, not everyone would try, but I love the kick this gives her whole look!

Also, her friend is an example of two things I really believe in. 1. A t-shirt and jeans can be jazzed up in a second with some fantastic oversized shades and a great bag. And 2. Always keep Cheese-Its on hand in case you get pekish.

Check out this guy, we LOVE the fact that he’s rocking out a necklace which brings his otherwise pedestrian ensemble to great heights. Extra points when we found out he actually designed the accessory himself (my man can’t even make toast).

First up… this sassy Betty.

We found her at 9th & Grand… chatting up her IPhone and rockin’ her Louis. We’re loving the use of color, the plaid shirt, the rocker hair and especially those FANTASTIC shoes!!

Even if you’re too timid to roll this much fabulousness into one outfit, pairing some bright shoes with your basics will go miles!
